Please join us as experts discuss the various components that a project manager should consider when structuring a new deal.

Dan Kabat, Partner, Transaction Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
Dan is a
Partner in the Boston based Transaction Services practice and has been
with PwC for over twenty five years. For the past twelve years, Dan has
been a Partner specializing in transactions involving
the technology, entertainment, media, and communication industries. As
such, he has extensive financial and accounting experience focused on
helping financial and strategic buyers evaluate and execute successful
transactions both on the "buy and sell" side.
Dan’s has relevant experience in transactions involving software and
technology companies, content providers, cable, broadcasting, newspapers
and magazines, and telecommunications.
Kathy White, Director, Tax, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
Kathy is a Director in the PwC Tax practice. She works primarily with
companies in the renewable energy, technology and financial services
sectors. Her experience in the renewable energy sector includes work on
tax credits and grant-in-lieu of credits under
the 2009 ARRA. During her career she primarily focused on U.S.
corporate tax issues with additional experience in international
matters, tax accounting, transactional issues, accounting methods and
audit defense.
R.J. Lyman, Partner, Goodwin Procter
R. J. Lyman is a partner at Goodwin Procter. He represents clients in all aspects of commercial real estate and renewable energy project development, including site acquisition, project permitting, debt and equity financing, and property disposition. Mr. Lyman began his career as a project manager at a consulting engineering firm representing independent power producers and other energy and commercial developers. He has also served as a government policy maker, as Massachusetts Assistant Environmental Secretary. Mr. Lyman earned his B.A. from Harvard University and his J.D. from Vermont Law School.
Eric S. Graber-Lopez, Director, Renewable Energy, BlueWave Capital LLC
As
Director of BlueWave's renewable energy practice Mr. Graber-Lopez is
deeply involved in the management of BlueWave Strategies and BlueWave
Capital's
renewable energy activities. He also serves as a Principal with
HeliaVentures a project development venture partnering with BlueWave on
numerous renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on solar
photovoltaic. Mr. Graber-Lopez advises early stage
clean energy companies and entrepreneurs in the areas of finance,
strategy, due diligence and market analysis. Prior to joining BlueWave
Mr. Graber-Lopez served as Vice President and Senior Equity Analyst on
the Specialty Equity Growth Team at Putnam Investments.
He was a member of a team that managed $8 billion in U.S. mid- and
large-cap growth equity portfolios. Mr. Graber-Lopez key areas of focus
have been the Energy, Alternative Energy, Materials, and Utilities
sectors. He was responsible for the team's investments
in those sectors both within the public and private markets.
Previously, Mr. Graber-Lopez was Senior Equity Analyst within Putnam's
Global Equity Research Group and was a member of the Natural Resources
and Utilities fund teams. Mr. Graber-Lopez, joined Putnam
in 2002, and has been in the investment industry for over 15 years.
During his years on Wall Street, Mr. Graber-Lopez focused on the Energy
and Utilities industries working both as an advisor on investment
banking transactions and a research analyst. During
his years on the sell-side as an investment analyst, Mr. Graber-Lopez
was ranked as being among the top analysts in his areas of focus by
several leading industry surveys. Mr. Graber-Lopez has extensive
experience in firm valuation, project development and
financing, mergers & acquisitions advisory, private equity
transactions, and portfolio management. Mr. Graber-Lopez has a Bachelor
of Arts in History and Economics from Hampshire College and an M.B.A.
from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan
School of Management.
